Welcome
About Me
I am a dual-board certified Psychiatrist, with licensure in New York and Connecticut, specializing in women’s mental health, supporting individuals through the highs and lows of their reproductive journeys.
I provide care for all adults, but also specialize in caring for women who are experiencing changes in their mental health while trying to conceive, while pregnant, or in the postpartum period.
My expertise includes, but is not limited to, treating symptoms of depression and anxiety during the reproductive period.
I offer a holistic perspective to treatment planning, including medication management and therapy. I believe in listening to your experiences and understanding you as a person before making treatment recommendations.
My treatment style is collaborative and designed to meet your goals and where you are at in life. I will work with you to tailor a treatment plan specific to your needs and stage of life.
I am dedicated to providing a supportive space where you can explore your mental well-being without judgment. My goal is to offer expert resources and compassionate guidance to help you on your journey to a healthier mind.
Training & Expertise
I am a dual board-certified Psychiatrist by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology (ABPN) and the Royal College of Physicians of Canada (FRCPC). I completed medical school at the University of Ottawa, and went on to complete my medical residency in Psychiatry at the University of Calgary, where I also served as co-chief resident.
Following my residency training, I worked as both an Inpatient and Outpatient Psychiatrist, specializing in treating a broad spectrum of mental health conditions in the adult population, and later as Clinical Medical Director of Inpatient Psychiatry Services. During this time, I developed expertise in managing immediate and long-term psychiatric symptoms with medications (when indicated), and psychotherapy.
I have specialized training in perinatal mental health with Postpartum Support International (PSI), and as a staff Psychiatrist with The Motherhood Center of New York.
My training and work across North America has provided me with exposure to diverse populations, and to evidence-based practices across jurisdictions.
